MITSA Technique for sinus lift

Hello respected doctors. I have a question regarding MITSA TECHNIQUE for sinus lift procedure! Can we use our Regular Surgical drill set for osteotomy or we need Densah bur for osteotomy? After osteotomy preparation, do we need to use #3 mm osteotome to infracture sinus floor?

Based on how I read your questions , I have to break it down in to following things:

  1. MISTA - whatever the acronym may be, it is just an INTERNAL /CLOSED /CRESTAL APPROACH to lift the sinus
  2. If you use Densah burs, better to follow VERSAH protocols
  3. Standard twist drills - Cut the bone - due to CLOCKWISE motion of the cutting blades/flutes
  4. Densah burs can be used Clockwise or Anticlockwise depending on their PROTOCOLS
