What is the accepted consensus for prosthesis type in all on 6 mandibular implants. MUA and screw retained (split or not) or cement retained?
I think that is like asking if a Honda is better than a Yamaha… once you have a definitive answer please share with the rest of the dental community so that we can reach a consensus. Its unfortunate that implants have become so “standard of care” in dentistry today and we still don’t have a clue how to maintain an implant supported prosthesis yet we tell our patients that it is superior to conventional dentistry. That is a great question and I have no doubt that someone who knows everything will give their definitive opinion but until we can come to a consensus on implant maintenance practices we are still just experimenting and everything works great until it fails.
