i had made two implant from six months ago and GBR simultaneously allograft and membrane for biohorizon and after 4 months we found crestal bone loss at distal side 15 and infection and implant mobility i decided to clean the implant site and disinfect it with betadine and implant gain stability again and finally i decided to improve the quality of soft tissue through pedicle connective tissue graft my question to improve the crestal bone loss at distal site 15 to make GBR or go for loading without graft
You can try but given the problems you have experienced with this fixture it might be best to remove-wait-and redo
i know there’s successful GBR in conjunction w/ implant placement cases. but horizontal GBR is usually easier and more predictable than vertical GBR performed in conjunction w/ implant placement. you didn’t post PA before implant placement. so i wonder what the bone looked like before you placed implant. looks like you have mesial bone loss also. The implant may be stable now. but once you load it w/ a crown. it might start to move after a few years. Also anterior cases are difficult because alveolar ridge dimensions are always misleading on a PA. But i think you might have to cut your losses. and remove the implant. Do a vertical and horizontal GBR to regain some lost bone. then place implant again. good luck.
ok. so premolars. i c.
I’m afraid that you’re going to have to explant and bite the bullet on this one
Cut your losses. The practice momentum, patient satisfaction, your heart muscle and stomach lining will all be better off.
