Broken screw inside a very well retained implant

Hello everyone,
A gingival former (healing abutment) screw was broken inside the implant fixture. It was stuck inside and unable to be removed using different screw removal kits and systems.
Kindly, any alternative way to go ahead and complete the implant prosthetic part with the broken screw inside and without removing the implant itself as all, as the patient is refusing the implant removal and replacement?

I have never had very good luck with any of the screw removal kits but have had good success using a small inverted cone bur in a slow speed operating in reverse. If you tap it up and down on the top of the broken screw it should back it out. That has been my go to while my screw removal kit collects dust. Good Luck!!

What screw removal kits have used already? What is the implant system you are using?

Do you mean a hand-piece bur not turbine?

i think dr scotty does mean an air driven slow speed handpiece.

Conventional slow speed which turns at 20,000 RPM. I think the bur needs to be tuning pretty fast when it makes contact with the screw head to initiate the reverse action…
