Four months ago, I had implants placed in areas 7 and 8, with exposure scheduled for next week. One month ago, I underwent a bovine-derived gum graft procedure. I’ve noticed significant shrinkage of the grafted tissue, along with persistent throat irritation and a feeling of tightness in the graft area. I have a medical history of rheumatoid arthritis and discontinued methotrexate therapy both pre- and post-operatively. What could be contributing to the graft shrinkage? Suggestions for the next steps? Can this be an allergic reaction? Pre and post pictures attached. thank you.
